Yesterday, I had an Epiphany. A friend mentioned how wonderful it is that I own a home. (Actually, making the payments on the home.) I am not so sure it was a good idea.

I realized that within the last three years my whole life has been turned around.

•    Losing a job I hated
•    Losing a job I loved
•    Losing my best friend
•    Becoming a Christian
•    Having no extra money for anything because of the economy

It has been the best time of my life. This time has allowed me to revisit, review, the things I thought were important to discover they really wasn’t that important.

It has allowed me to look at past pivotal events and either forgive the people for them or to recognize the hurt so I could move on. It has given me the opportunity to give up old baggage that wasn’t worth carrying around any more.

It as also allowed becoming a Christian – becoming closer to God and myself in the process. God has taught me so much about my self and spirituality. And, I know the journey will continue for the rest of my life.

I do know that what happens in the next few years will be exciting as I discover what plans God has for me.
