This week marks the 70 annivesary of Kristallnacht - Night of the Broken Glass. On November 9-10, 1938 throughout the German Reich Jews were singled out in a coordinated attack. Jewish stores, Synagogues (including the desecration of Torah scolls), religious items, and books were destroyed.

German reports concluded:

• 91 Jews killed
• 7500 shops destroyed
• 267 synagogues burned
• 25,000 men were sent to concentation camps
