When I came home yesterday evening, I discovered what I thought was an unwanted house guest. My house is full of shadows and I could not see clearly. My dog was standing in the middle of the bed barking near a light. The cats were running around in her in an excited state. From the shadows I thought I had a bat.

A few years ago that happened. I got the bat out safely and never thought any more about it.

Instead of a bat, it was a fly. A pretty active fly considering the time of year. I'm not sure which of the animals finally killed it but it seems to be gone this morning.
