Today is the first day of my vacation. It does seem odd - not dashing to work. Instead I am sitting around the house relaxing. This is a good thing.

Winter vacations are different - I rarely go somewhere unless it is somewhere warm. I do remember being in the British Virgin Islands the day after Christmas one year many years ago listening to Glen Campbell singing "White Christmas" while looking Christmas decorations in a palm tree. I could get use to that.

Eventually, I am going to paint my hallway. It needs it and I have the time. My living room is a springy green. I am thinking a strong red would make both colors standout.

Big vacation plans, eh?
