I realize that part of the stimulus package is the hope that Americans will spend money. Spending money will get the economy going again. The problem is:

I am really not comfortable spending anything!

How do we get beyond that feeling?

Many Americans are concerned about their jobs and their bills. Holding onto money now give us as people some feeling of security.

Again, how do we, as Americans, get beyond the feeling so we can spend again?
