I have often wondered why my one cat believes my thigh is a pin-cushion?! He will wait until I am working on something then use my jeans as a scratching post. The only way to discourage him is to make loud noises.

Then, he just walks away to come back a few minutes later.

It takes a while for it to sink in that his nails hurt.
