Lawn Mower

I tried out the new lawn mower yesterday and it is just as ornery as the old lawn mower. That is, except, for the fact that the old one quit working completely.

The old mower was an electric version. Plug it in and it would work unless grass got gummed up in it somewhere it should not have had. Problem was I would either unplug the thing or run over the electric cord cutting the cord in half.

So I decided to try a gas mower. Finished putting it together yesterday, adding oil and gas. Then, tried to start the darling. No, it did not have an electric start. The pull was on the right and I am left handed! I ended up turning sideways to pull with my left hand.

All winter long my dog has been peeing in the yard. Do I have some great looking grass where the dog has been! That mower took on bite at that grass and stopped dead! After many attempts I got out my old "amish" mower and cut those spots that way. Then, I tried to go over it with the gas mower only to have the mower quit again.

Eventually, I did get the grass cut. It was a lot of stopping and starting. Somewhere in all this my bad ankle/foot started really acting up. It's now sorer than anything! They put down horses for less than I have been through with this thing.
